Pune: The IIMM Pune Branch successfully hosted the 10th Annual Supply Chain Awards 2026 on Saturday, commemorating both a decade of recognising supply chain excellence and 60 years of the IIMM Pune Branch as a leading professional body in materials and supply chain management.
The landmark event brought together industry leaders, supply chain professionals, public sector representatives, and dignitaries to acknowledge outstanding contributions across manufacturing, real estate, logistics, healthcare, and public infrastructure sectors.
IIMM Pune Branch Showcases 60-Year Legacy at Supply Chain Awards 2026
The programme opened with a special film chronicling six decades of the IIMM Pune Branch, followed by the felicitation of past Chairmen for their long-standing contributions to the institute.
Those honoured included Suresh Naik, Vijay Kiyawat, Pradip Nadkarni, Pravin Sampat, D D Wanjale, and Vijay Laghate.

A series of nominated and conferred awards were presented to organisations and individuals demonstrating excellence and innovation across the supply chain ecosystem.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred on H R Gaikwad, CMD, Bharat Vikas Group (BVG), recognising his enduring contribution to industry and infrastructure development.

Addressing the gathering, Suhas Gawas, Chairman, IIMM Pune Branch, highlighted that supply chain management has evolved from a purely operational function into a strategic driver of business continuity, sustainability, and national growth.
He noted that today’s supply chain leaders are shaping the future through digitalisation, responsible sourcing, and collaborative ecosystems.
Chief Guest Robert John, Director and Chief Executive, Amphenol Interconnect India Pvt Ltd, stated that supply chain management has become vital to India’s rapidly transforming economic landscape.
He emphasised the role of logistics, innovation, GPS tracking, real-time data analytics, and the adoption of AI in optimising routes, reducing delivery timelines, and lowering costs for businesses operating domestically and internationally.

IIMM Pune Branch Releases 60th Anniversary Souvenir
On the occasion, the IIMM Pune Branch also released a commemorative souvenir marking 60 years of excellence and contribution to the supply chain profession.
Mohan Nair, Past Chairman and Current National Councillor of IIMM Pune, served as the master of ceremonies. K R Nair was the convenor of the event and proposed the vote of thanks.
